Respect, Responsibility, Reflection

December 19, 2021

Dear Edgecomb Eddy Families,

Out of an abundance of caution, I want to inform you that approximately 20% of Edgecomb Eddy students have been quarantined due to being close contacts of individuals testing positive for COVID-19. At this time, all identified cases of Edgecomb School students are related to community spread.

At this time, Edgecomb Eddy School will continue regular, in-person learning. We will monitor the situation closely and continue contact tracing.

I want to recognize and thank our staff, who have been extremely diligent with our safety protocols. Some of our staff members have worked hard on contact tracing all weekend. I also want to thank our parents and students for their continued cooperation and support.

We are in the process of implementing voluntary pooled testing. Pooled testing is a powerful mitigation strategy which should help minimize disruptions to in-person learning. More information and permission slips regarding this process will be coming later this week.

If your child is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, please do not send them to school. Contact the
school office. Symptoms of COVID-19 include: Fever or chills, New loss of taste or smell, Cough, Sore throat, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Congestion or runny nose, Fatigue, Nausea or vomiting, Muscle or body aches, Diarrhea, Headache

Please know that the safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we continue to navigate through this ever changing time. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Christina Boursaw, Principal
